DeSoto REC Support for the State of Israel

RESOLUTION 23-02
UNWAVERING SUPPORT FOR THE STATE OF ISRAEL

The DeSoto County Republican Executive Committee hereby resolves to express its unwavering support for the State of Israel in light of the recent attacks by Hamas and other Arab terrorist groups.

WHEREAS, the State of Israel is a longstanding ally of the United States and a bastion of democracy and freedom in a region marred by instability and extremism; and

WHEREAS, Israel faces ongoing threats to its security, including missile attacks and acts of terrorism perpetrated by Hamas and other extremist groups; and

WHEREAS, it is essential to stand with Israel in its efforts to protect its citizens and maintain its sovereignty in the face of these threats; and

WHEREAS, Israel’s right to self-defense is fundamental, and it is essential to support its efforts to ensure the safety and security of its citizens; and

WHEREAS, the State of Israel shares many common values with the United States, including a commitment to democracy, human rights, and the rule of law; and

WHEREAS, whoever blesses Israel will be blessed; and

WHEREAS, the DeSoto County Republican Executive Committee recognizes the importance of maintaining a strong and enduring partnership with Israel for the mutual benefit of our nations;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the DeSoto County Republican Executive Committee extends its support and solidarity to the State of Israel in the face of attacks by Hamas and other Arab terrorist groups; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the DeSoto County Republican Executive Committee calls on our elected officials and leaders to continue to stand with Israel and provide any necessary assistance to ensure its safety and security; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be provided to our local representatives in government and be made available to the public as an expression of our unwavering commitment to Israel and our shared values of democracy, freedom, and security.
